You're prickly. But not too prickly.
Shadow was one of the first residents of Hadriel that Ushahin met. He was immediately intrigued by the hedgehog and they began to bond during the Silent Hill event, talking of gods and men. He learned more about him after going into his nightmare. This helped to cement Shadow's status as a friend. Indeed, he might be the first one the immortal has had in close to a thousand years. He frequently finds the hedgehog breaking into his house for various reasons, whether it is merely to talk or to have someone patch up his latest injuries after he does something suicidally reckless.

You carry so many echoes within.
Ushahin saved the good doctor from a Skulltula when they all first arrived. That was only the start of their strange relationship. It's one-part antagonistic, one-part friendly, and one-part insanity in nature. Gottlieb would very much prefer it if Ushahin stayed out of his head. Since they happen to be next-door neighbors, Ushahin has yet to manage it thus far. His attempts at giving advice for Ushahin haven't succeeded either. Bu then, he's an immortal, and his personality remains quite static.
Dr. Newt ♬

You're the echo in the other mind.
It's a rare man that can piss off Ushahin in the span of a single conversation. Newton managed it. It might have ended there, save for one thing: Ushahin threatened Hermann as retribution for Newt's blunt words. Since then, the two have had an antagonistic relationship, mainly since Ushahin doesn't fit into Newton's view of morality. Newt tends to be sarcastic and dismiss anything the half-man might say, even up to an offer of giving him a way to stay out of his head. Ushahin, on the other hand, views Newt as being something of an idiotic child.
Do you...enjoy making friends?
Muscovy is Ushahin's self-proclaimed friend. Ushahin himself isn't sure what to make of the child, but he does enjoy his company. He's one of the few who knows part of Ushahin's past, listening as the half-man divulged his story.
Sans yawns. Somehow. His mouth doesn't open, but he...definitely yawns. Or at least says "open parentheses yawns close parentheses," either one.
An odd monster. He's not exactly in the skeleton's good books, but that's what he gets for invading his next-door neighbor's dreams and house both uninvited. Their relationship is complicated. Neither of them trusts each other enough to actually be considered in the category of friends. But Sans understands more than others do how Ushahin can't fully control his mind-reading powers. Ushahin is most fascinated by Sans' mind, since he never entirely seems to say what he means, even in his own dreams. Sans sees him as being very much like a child: indulging in his power because he never learned the consequences for doing otherwise. And now that Papyrus has appeared, who knows how their relationship may change again...
This is a darkness inside of her, a wound that will never heal. No one should ever want that.
The girl with the dark power inside of her. Ushahin first came to know who Sharon was when she brought Silent Hill to Hadriel. He was fascinated by what she had within her. While she remained surly and with her walls up, Ushahin violated her privacy by going inside her mind and seeing her past as Alessa. Since then, she's developed a near-hatred of the immortal, while he continues to poke into her affairs, still fascinated by the darkness within her.

Near is of course aware of the appropriateness of the animal following him around. Purely white. Small. Fragile-looking. Clever.
Near is someone that Ushahin can't really get a bead on. The lack of emotional pull he seems to feel towards anything makes him an interesting subject for someone who instinctively reads minds of the people around him.
Unknown variables are dangerous until proven otherwise, in his mind.
Mello and Ushahin first met went Silent Hill came to Hadriel. Taking refuge in Fear's Temple, they both took their measure of each other. Ushahin found him an amusement, someone either a fool or fearless. He still hasn't figured out which.

That reason alone should be enough for a smile.
The smiling one. Ushahin has found him an odd sort. Considering he's over a thousand years old and crazy to boot, that says something about how Elmer operates. Unable to understand why he was obsessed with smiles, he went into his mind, going much farther than he intended. Seeing the memories of his horrifying childhood and the years since, he now knows much more than he ever wanted to.
He's beginning to wonder if this girl is ever happy or if her permanent state is one of sarcastic anger.
When Ushahin first met Nick, she was drunk, sarcastic, angry, and abrasive. He chose to like her anyway, for she was a monster just like him. Despite having all of her walls up, he kept pushing until he broke through them. Underneath, he discovered a girl who kept people at arm's length because she didn't want to get hurt. Things took a dramatic turn when, with his powers out of control, Ushahin shattered her mind accidentally by pouring his entire life's worth of pain into her mind. He felt extremely guilty and ashamed about what he had done, but she seems to have forgiven him, for which he is extremely grateful.

"Name's Deadpool. Wanna tell me what the fuck you're doing in my house before I decide you're better off without a frontal lobe?"
The last of the neighbors that live next door, Wade very nearly blew Ushahin's head the first time they met. He considers Wade to be a curious anomaly, since he's one of the few people Ushahin can't psychically read. He's also a damn good guard dog.

"Is she, now. And did you kill her, dearheart? Just your everyday small talk.
A beautiful, fascinating, and vain woman. She's as old as Ushahin, if not older, so he feels she is somewhat his equal in that mental respect. When he entered her dreams, he discovered she could sense him and dream lucidly.
It is good not to be alone. Like must find like in order to be happy.
Another one in Hadriel who has the gift of psychic powers. Despite being able to read his mind, Ushahin didn't pick up at first that Pell is of an entirely different kind than the usual divisions of male and female. He is quite thankful to have someone else around with the same power set. It's good not to be alone.

"I see fire. I see a woman who burns everything. I see--" He's not even sure what makes the word pop into his head, but he knows what to call her "--I see the Salamander!"
Rey was one of the few who didn't believe in Ushahin's abilities at first. He soon proved them to her. While at first things went pleasantly enough, even with the knowledge of his powers on the table, things went south when Confusion was revived. His powers went out of control and he saw parts of her past as the Salamander that terrified him. To say she didn't take this well is like saying that the Hindenberg was a small explosion.

"Not sure I can trust the word of a man who just shoots others without provocation." If that's what he does in his dreams, it makes the half-Ellyl wonder what he does during his waking hours.
While Ushahin at first though Sato was a pleasant enough fellow, that mask was dropped when he entered his dreams, and after some dream manipulation, found Sato ready to murder him with no provocation whatsoever. It's made him both rather angry and wary. Dreams show him a person's true self and Sato's has been no exception.
This is Crow. Crow is very trusting. Especially when food is involved.
Ushahin has been delighted to discover that another corvid besides Fetch has arrived in the city. The fact he can talk back is just an added bonus.

There's something unsettling about making eye contact with this...this thing. Can't even call him a boy. He's something beyond that. Something out of a nightmare. Something straight out of the pits of hell.
Sandor found himself in the unenviable position of being interesting to Ushahin when he first arrived. With how his strange powers work, the Hound regarded him as a demon of some sort. Ushahin, rather pleased with this, didn't bother to correct him. After learning some of Sandor's past in his dream, he's found something in common with the gruff swordsman.

She's not really one to judge considering she kind of sort of eats people, so.
Ushahin has always found that music helps to soothe him when his powers are too overwhelming. Rose's talent for singing has been much appreciated. She seems to getting along with him well. (Statistically, at least someone from Haven was bound to.)
I will teach you everything I know if you are willing and your mind strong enough.
Richie is another of those that Ushahin was fascinated with from his very arrival. He could see the man had gifts and see things others did not. Richie also, perhaps foolishly, allowed Ushahin to go inside his mind. The half-man is pleased to have discovered someone who both has potential and is willing to learn all that he can teach him. Now if only he'd stop thinking so much about that brother of his...
Wowie! I have only just arrived and I am already... popular!!!
Ushahin had already seen Papyrus in Sans' dreams before he arrived. Nothing could have prepared him for the genuine article in thefleshbones. His enthusiasm actually endeared him to the half-man, though how Sans might react when he realizes the madman has become friends with his brother may change things.

If he can't feel the zombies' minds and the zombies are dead, it stands to reason that anything else he can't feel is also dead. So therefore, Nick might be dead. That's the logic of a madman.
Nick helped Ushahin out of a very sticky situation he got himself into involving zombies. Although they didn't have too long to talk, he found out he can't read Nick's mind. This has left him with a whole host of questions about the synthetic man.
